New public build - Devlog July 2024

Heey guys,

It's only been 3 weeks since the release of the last build but helling heck, I've completed the basis of another main feature for My World Isekai.

As a big fan of Sim Management games, It is a wet dream of mine to implement this feature:

NPC Dynamic behaviour.

Basically, the NPC can do everything the Player can do. That's an aspect I've always loved in video games. To feel like an NPC. It may sound dumb but I believe it adds a lot of immersion to the game.

The NPCs have the same attributes as the player. It has money, a pathfinding, a quest manager, relationships, etc. What the build 0.0.69 misses though, is the ability for them to fight each other. The reason is I have to modify the Battle System code for it to be possible.

Implementing such a feature gives more dynamic scenarios. For example, I invited Anna over my home and locked the door. She was indeed blocked in my home and just couldn't do anything but trying to open the door. Another cool scenario is that I had the Green Haired Scum fight against me. The thing is she made friends as the days passed and brought more than the two defined scums I set with her by default.

Epic.

For the next build, which will be the 0.0.7, I'll work on rewriting the Battle System and finally, work on the World Building & Evolution system, which should be the last main feature for My World Isekai before I get to focus on the creative part (Art, animation and writing).

To be short, I want the world to have a kind of an ecosystem. You will notice that in the build 0.0.69, you will see NPCs sleeping outside. The reason is they don't have a home lol. So I'm going to work on having an ecosystem where the NPCs have to find a job to get money and buy a home and other stuff. But a city has its capacity limit. To solve this, I'll add a kind of "Mayor" for him to manage the city. He will be in charge of organizing events or building more homes depending on the citizens needs, etc.

That's my ambition and I believe I can manage it.
